Summary

Much of our relaxing South India Family Adventure takes place in stunning Kerala, which is famous for its palm-lined beaches and picturesque backwaters formed by a centuries-old network of canals that link spice plantations to the ocean. We’ll also explore fascinating Cochin (Kochi), a historic colonial city and spice trading hub that remains a cultural potpourri of Arab, British, Chinese, Dutch and Portuguese influences.

Highlights of this adventure include visits to two wildlife sanctuaries to view elephants, tigers and deer and more. You’ll take a deep dive into local culture and discover how the spice trading hub’s history has influenced cooking techniques, farming methods and an array of artisanal crafts.
